30 Day Snap #1 Sunderland

Hello,
I am taking part in the 30 Day Snap, which is basically a challenge to take a picture every day in June. I found out about this from Louise-(http://sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.co.uk/). To find out more, click the button below and find out rules etc:

I haven't really done much today so the post could have been one of two things:
a) The following post about Sunderland
or
b) A rather arty-farty photo of a turnip (strongly suggested by my dad!)
It would be a shame to waste it, actually, so here it is.

And on with the main post....
I am from Sunderland- in the North East of England. Sunderland doesn't have a very good reputation. Yes, there is a lot of crime and general scum, but I really do love living here. There are so many kind-hearted and genuinely lovely people living in/from Sunderland that are over-looked. Basically, the negative out-weighs the positive- which is really irritating.

Anyway, what I'm trying to get across is that I love my town and I'm proud to call myself a Mackem!

Here is a picture of my dad,Colin, looking out of his window onto our hometown earlier today!

You can see part of the North Sea from Hendon beach in the background as well as housing and a few local businesses. Is it weird that I really love this view? Probably.

Thanks for reading,

Bye!!
:)
